Governance and standards
Working within documented competence and lawful scope
JTL Medical only provides services within its current documented competence, available governance, insurance and lawful scope.
JTL Medical will not undertake a regulated activity unless any legally required registration is in place.
Clinical or professional governance
Arrangements for oversight of the care our personnel provide are documented internally and reviewed by the competent lead. Services are only offered where that oversight is in place.
Staff qualification and competence checks
Qualifications, awarding organisations and expiry dates are checked before deployment, and personnel work only within their documented competence.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding responsibilities for children and adults at risk are set out in our internal policy, with a named safeguarding lead and a clear route for raising concerns.
Infection prevention and control
Hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, cleaning of equipment and safe handling of waste are covered by written procedures.
Equipment inspection and expiry checks
Equipment and consumables are inspected before and after events, with expiry dates checked and recorded.
Medicines governance, if applicable later
JTL Medical does not advertise or supply medicines. Should any medicines fall within scope in future, they will only be introduced under a documented medicines-governance framework agreed with the competent lead and insurer.
Incident reporting
Incidents, near misses and complaints are recorded, reviewed and acted upon, and reported onwards where there is a duty to do so.
Confidential record handling
Any records created at an event are handled confidentially, stored securely and retained only as long as necessary. Patient records are never processed through this website.
Complaints
Complaints can be raised by email and are acknowledged, investigated and answered in writing.
Escalation to NHS emergency services
Where a patient needs care beyond our documented competence, or needs transport, our team contacts 999 without avoidable delay and supports the patient until NHS assistance arrives.
